The flu season is upon us, and unless you want to spend your precious time at the doctors just to be told what you already know, that it will run its course and just to take some over the counter medications, and at the end be stuck with medical bills, I suggest that you take your health in your hands and save your money. There are so many ways to prevent and get over a cold fast naturally without any medications.

HOW TO GET OVER A COLD FAST

1. The best advice, of course, is to prevent getting sick, especially during the winter months. Eat more veggies and fruits, wash your hands regularly and exercise whenever you can. I also suggest at the beginning of the winter season, start taking vitamins constantly like Vitamin C , Zinc, and Garlic.

2.Essential Oils.
If you do catch cold, Essential oils are a great natural way of getting over a cold. If you don’t already have one, I suggest that you invest in a Humidifier and diffuse essential oils. When you inhale essential oils it goes into your lungs and respiratory system, you can either inhale essential oils or rub it onto your skin. Some of my favorite essential oils to get over a cold is Thyme Oil, it has amazing antibacterial properties,Eucalyptus Oil it supports respiratory system, its great for achy muscles for those times when you have a fever, and it can help with clearing your nasal pathways. Lemon Oil  is another great essential oil beneficial for getting over a cold,  especially if you have a cough, it helps to reduce swelling in your lymph nodes, and one my all time favorites is Tea Tree Oil, it will help you to loosen congestion, its best known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

3. Rest! And that’s the doctor’s orders! Your body is working overtime when you’re sick, so one of the easiest things you can do is rest and get more sleep, and give time for your body to recover and replenish. Proper resting will benefit your immune system and help you get over a cold sooner.

4. Stay hydrated, sip on warm liquids and incorporate honey with lemon. One of the best things you can do when sick is boil pieces of ginger with lemon and drink that throughout the day, it will do miracles. Ginger is great for your throat and helps you sweat out toxins.

5. Drink Bone Broth, there’s a reason why your mama always made you eat chicken noodle soup when you’re sick. Buy an organic grass-fed chicken and slow cook in your crockpot, the longer you cook it the better and more nutritious it will be, I suggest slow cooking it for 24 hours. Bone broth is rich in minerals, collagen and supports the immune system. Also, the chicken will be a very good source of protein and keep you strong while you recover.

I hope that these natural remedies will help you get over a cold faster, and last but not least and my number one Recommendation is Prayer! “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds declares the Lord”-Jeremiah 30″17.
